Antonio Mesiti

Director & Property Manager | Class 1 Agent

I believe good property management needs to serve people. Fairly and responsively.

With over 20 years of demonstrated experience in managing Residential Properties my business focuses solely on Property Management, providing clients with an end to end and completely personalised service.

I am experienced in Residential and Commercial property, Administration, Department Management and Trust Accounting. This experience and knowledge now allows me to be involved in all aspects within Property Management and The Management Agency operates as a truly boutique business, working to a manageable scale and on an agile platform.

I firmly believe in the need for timely and effective communication and thrive on a fast-paced environment and the challenges that Property Management encompasses. Whilst no day is routine I am highly organised, dedicating days for administration and for those on the road.

Good communication, open and honest feedback and delivering on promises has provided me with organic portfolio growth over many years, largely accredited to referrals from clients.

My business allows me to be versatile and work autonomously therefore providing a complete and transparent service to my clients.

Nelson Pestana

Administrator & Property Manager | Class 1 Agent

Nelson provides me, Antonio, with the backup and administrative support that is needed in this fast-paced and ever-changing industry. Working alongside me for the last 5 years, Nelson has learned everything there is to know about Property Management and this has enabled The Management Agency to consistently offer the highest level of customer service.

Nelson brings a wealth of customer service and business management skills from his more than 20 years of management experience with Qantas and McDonald’s. All of his past work experience helps to ensure that our compliance, processes, and procedures are always fine-tuned and second to none.

He holds a Class 1 Real Estate Licence, a Diploma in Property (Agency Management) and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management.

Working at The Management Agency, Nelson loves that every day brings new challenges, that there is never a dull moment and enjoys the freedom of being out and about meeting people.

2003

Diploma in Property / Real Estate Licensing Course
Commenced work as a Sales & Property Management Assistant, Junior Entry level position.
Took a vacancy in that agency when a Property Manager Left and stayed there til 2006.

2006 – 2018

Worked in two Traditional Agencies both in Surry Hills getting to know the areas that I cover to this day.

July 2018

Founded and opened The Management Agency.

2021

REINSW Winner of the Tim Anderson OEM Property Manager Award (Real Estate Institute of NSW).

2022

REIA Nationals – Finalist for Property Manager of the Year (REIA National Awards for Excellence for 2022).

What do I know about property management?

Before building The Management Agency into a successful property management business, I spent years watching property management take a back seat in the sales-dominated world of real estate.

I saw property owners short-changed, fobbed off and frustrated on a regular basis – tenants too.

I was powerless to do much about it in the big brand agencies I worked in. Still, I did pay close attention to what makes property management run smoothly and what makes the wheels fall off.

Over the years, I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t across every aspect of the property management field, including:

  • Property appraisals
  • Marketing
  • Leasing
  • Tenancy management
  • Maintenance
  • Trust accounting

I use the knowledge and experience gained over the last 20 years on a daily basis to give my clients the level of service that The Management Agency is now known for.

Today, my clients are long-term. They trust me with their property portfolios and come to me mainly via their friends and family.

Agent, owner, tenant. It doesn’t matter who a person is or what they have or doesn’t have; we believe every person should be treated with dignity and respect, so that’s how we roll. It’s served us well so far.
